What has been your experience of flexible working?

Hi! I am replying on Erin's behalf as she is on R&R at the moment. I have great flexibility in my role; for example today I am working from home so I can get my kids to and from school, do after school activities with them and then I log back on later at night to finish off my tasks for the day. IGO are open to making things work for your personal circumstances.

Having done a FIFO roster for the past 5 years, like all jobs and rosters there are pros and cons. Cons being you may miss events and miss out on being home every night but, there are some good cons too - I just got back from Vietnam and did that on my break! No need to use leave because I had that rostered time off!

IGO are really good at working with you to make as much as possible! They flew me in and out of Nova 5 years ago to help cater to me finishing my degree if that's any indication!

In my experience, FIFO in particular, it's either for you or not and you will figure that out as soon as you try it. But much like Kate said, Perth office also offers some amazing options when it comes to working flexibility too!
